Prague’s international-school search includes more than English-medium IB schools. This guide compares eight schools within the city, with a separate boarding option in Babice. Start with the child’s age and intended final qualification.
International School of Prague, in Nebušice, offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes and an American-accredited high-school diploma. It is a relevant starting point for an English-medium international route, but its Prague 6 location must work from home.
Prague British International School uses Kamýk, Libuš and Vlastina. British schooling leads through Cambridge IGCSE to the IB Diploma; a Czech bilingual primary route also exists. Ask which site serves the child. A campus announced for 2027 is not an available September 2026 location.
Riverside International School operates across several Prague 6 sites. Its British progression leads to IGCSE and IB, alongside its own accredited high-school diploma. Czech requirements for Czech pupils need separate discussion; English-medium teaching does not remove them.
Park Lane International School has age-specific sites in Smíchov, Střešovice and Malá Strana. It also leads through IGCSE to the IB Diploma. Ask for the actual classroom address, not just the administrative office, and check lunch and examination extras.
The English College in Prague in Vysočany is a selective six-year Czech gymnázium, beginning around age twelve. It combines that national secondary structure with IB. It is not an all-through international school for a younger child.
Nový PORG in Krč offers basic school and eight-year or four-year gymnázium routes. The later curriculum combines Czech requirements with IB. Its external IB-entry requirements include strong English and Czech assessment. The school states that pupils still take the Czech state maturita in Czech language and literature.
Compare these two if Czech educational continuity matters. Their language demands and selective entry require a different preparation plan from an English-medium international transfer. Ask which national examinations apply to the child.
Deutsche Schule Prag in Jinonice teaches through the German system towards the German International Abitur. It also has a separately priced Czech gymnázium route. Confirm the entry stream and German requirements.
Lycée Français de Prague in Smíchov follows the French curriculum to the baccalauréat. A two-year bilingual entry route helps Czech-speaking pupils without French move into ordinary French classes. It has its own Czech and mathematics entrance tests, so it is not a general language-support promise for every age.
Request the current fee schedule for the exact programme. A basic-school place, a gymnázium place and an external IB transfer can have different prices within one organisation.
Then check the language support, Czech obligations and next application window. Finally, test the journey: Nebušice, Vysočany, Jinonice and Krč are different commuting choices.

Prague 5LFP provides French national education from age 3 to the baccalauréat. Its Czech integration route can take a child from no French into mainstream classes over two years. The British International Section adds advanced English within the French system; it is not the IB.
Prague 4Nový PORG suits families seeking a selective Czech education with substantial English, rather than an English-medium international school. It offers primary school, four- and eight-year gymnázium routes, and the IB Diploma in the final two years. The admissions route and language expectations differ sharply by entry point.
