Wrocław International School (WIS) is a not-for-profit, English-medium day school at ul. Racławicka 101, 53-149 Wrocław. It is run by the Foundation of International Education, a Polish public-benefit organisation. The school was founded in 2002 and describes itself as the first international school in south-western Poland. That is a school claim, not an independent ranking.

WIS serves Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 10. It does not advertise boarding. Contact admissions at enrollment@fem.org.pl or +48 71 782 26 20 / +48 71 782 26 27. If email fails, confirm the address by telephone; one cited admissions page contains a spelling inconsistency.

IB education and the next stage

WIS is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School. It offers the Primary Years Programme (PYP) for younger pupils and the Middle Years Programme (MYP) for the subsequent stage.

The school describes continuation to the IB Diploma Programme at International High School of Wrocław (IHSW), which belongs to the same foundation. Treat this as a transition to another school, not as a promise that WIS itself provides Grades 11–12. Confirm the admission requirements, teaching location and journey for that next stage.

Instruction at WIS is in English. The school welcomes international, relocating and local families from across Lower Silesia. For a child new to English, ask about language expectations and the support available in the proposed class.

IPS / International School of Wrocław is a separate school, with locations on Drukarska and Powstańców Śląskich. Compare the programmes, age ranges, support and journeys. A published fee table alone does not determine which school is the better fit.

Admissions

The cited admissions page advertises 2026–27 enrolment throughout the year for children of all nationalities, from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 10. This does not establish a vacancy in every class.

Tours are by appointment. The school says its admissions officer responds within one working day; treat that as its stated service standard rather than a guaranteed response time. Ask for the child’s proposed placement and the documents needed before applying.

Tuition and payment plans

The WIS tuition page names an application fee payable when the application is submitted, but the cited page does not give its amount or a tuition figure. Obtain a dated schedule before committing.

Tuition includes teaching, the Enrichment Programme of additional activities, the Wolves Athletic Programme, and supervised after-school care. Field trips and programmes called White School and Green School, forms of school trips, may cost extra. Ask which activities apply to the child’s year and request their prices.

IHSW has a separate fee schedule

For the later Diploma stage, consult IHSW’s payment information. It names an administration fee and an application fee, without amounts in the cited material. Tuition can be paid in one, two or ten instalments.

Our view

Choose WIS if English-medium PYP and MYP education fits your child and the Racławicka journey is practical. For an older pupil, the next step after Grade 10 is central to the decision: establish whether IHSW or another school offers the right subjects and admission route.
