International School of Wrocław is a private, co-educational day school usually known as IPS. It covers preschool through Grade 12 and teaches mainly in English. There is no boarding provision on the school’s current pages.

Preschool, primary and lower secondary are at ul. Drukarska 52. Upper secondary, covering Grades 9–12, is at ul. Powstańców Śląskich 15. Families with children in different divisions should test both journeys.

IPS is not Wrocław International School or International High School of Wrocław at Racławicka 101. Those schools belong to the Foundation of International Education. The latter is the separate school authorised to offer the IB Diploma Programme.

Programme from Grade 1 to Grade 12

The current primary page says IPS combines the IB Primary Years Programme framework with Cambridge International Education in Grades 1–5. This description is not evidence that IPS is an authorised IB World School. Families who require formal IB authorisation should verify the school in the IB directory.

Cambridge Primary covers Grades 1–5. Grades 6–8 then follow Cambridge Lower Secondary. The school also teaches Polish language, Polish history and Polish geography, and it describes both Cambridge Checkpoint and Poland’s Grade 8 examination.

Upper secondary has a different sequence:

  • Grades 9–10 follow Cambridge IGCSE.
  • Grades 11–12 follow Cambridge A levels.
  • The school also describes a route to the Polish matura. Its page says pupils may finish with A levels, the matura or both, depending on their goals and programme choices.

The precise A-level and matura combination matters for university entry. Ask the school to confirm subjects, teaching language, examination board, Polish requirements and the final certificates available to this pupil.

IPS does not advertise the IB Diploma as its own upper-secondary qualification. International High School of Wrocław at Racławicka 101 is a separate institution with IB Diploma authorisation.

Admissions

The school provides an online application form, but it does not publish a single annual deadline or a complete decision timetable. As reviewed on 4 September 2026, the form still offers only 2025 and 2026 as start-year choices. Ask which route to use for a later start before submitting personal documents.

The form requests parent or guardian identification, the pupil’s recent school report and vaccination information. It also asks about the current curriculum, English level, previous acceleration or retention, and educational or counselling support.

Use the school’s secure application route for sensitive records. Ask admissions to confirm:

  1. the proposed grade and campus;
  2. whether English or mathematics assessment is required;
  3. the available curriculum and examination route in that grade;
  4. any language or learning support that can actually be provided; and
  5. every charge and contract term before payment.

Language and learning support

English is the main teaching language. The primary and lower-secondary programme also includes Polish language and national subjects. International pupils may study Polish as a second language.

The support page describes English as a Second Language, counselling, learning accommodations, individual education plans, speech therapy and dyslexia-related provision. It also mentions cooperation with a public counselling clinic.

These descriptions do not state admission thresholds, staffing capacity, hours or additional charges. A family needing regular or specialist support should obtain a written provision plan before enrolling.

Published fees for 2026–27

The current fee page publishes monthly tuition and the number of instalments. The annual tuition figures below are simple calculations from those published amounts.

Division Monthly tuition Instalments Calculated annual tuition
Pre-K1 and Pre-K2 PLN 3,350 11 PLN 36,850
Kindergarten PLN 3,450 11 PLN 37,950
Grades 1–5 PLN 3,950 10 PLN 39,500
Grades 6–8 PLN 4,250 10 PLN 42,500
Grades 9–10 PLN 4,800 10 PLN 48,000
Grades 11–12 PLN 5,000 10 PLN 50,000

New-pupil charges differ by division:

Division Published new-pupil charge
Preschool PLN 2,290 registration fee
Grades 1–8 PLN 2,990 admission fee
Grades 9–12 PLN 800 admission-process fee plus PLN 2,990 enrolment fee

The preschool registration fee is a one-time, non-refundable payment due within ten days of signing. The primary fee page mistakenly labels PLN 2,990 “per month,” but the adjacent text explicitly calls it a one-time, non-refundable fee for the whole enrolment period. Confirm that interpretation on the invoice.

For a new pupil, the calculated first-year minimum before extras is PLN 39,140 in Pre-K and PLN 40,240 in Kindergarten. It is PLN 42,490 in Grades 1–5 and PLN 45,490 in Grades 6–8. Grades 9–10 cost PLN 51,790, while Grades 11–12 cost PLN 53,790.

Preschool tuition includes care, academic classes and arts-and-crafts materials. The page excludes meals, trips, extra-curricular activities and some school supplies.

Grades 1–12 tuition includes academic classes, nursing and counselling. Meals, the IPS afternoon club, trips and additional supplies are excluded. A separate annual supply charge varies by academic level, but the page does not publish its amount.

The public page does not give complete cancellation, withdrawal or refund terms. Request the contract and a written total covering tuition, supplies, meals, care, trips, examinations and any refundable security payment before signing.

Fit and questions to resolve

IPS is relevant to families seeking an English-medium Cambridge route with Polish national content and the option of the matura. It is less suitable for a family that specifically requires an authorised IB continuum or boarding.

The biggest transition point is Grade 8. Confirm whether the pupil will sit Cambridge Checkpoint, Poland’s Grade 8 examination or both, then check how that result leads into IGCSE and the intended upper-secondary qualification.

Compare IPS with Wrocław International School if the family wants an authorised PYP and MYP route. Use the Wrocław school-search guide and the Poland guide for the wider comparison.
