Prague British International School is a Nord Anglia day school. The about page says the Prague British School and the English International School of Prague merged in 2018. It now calls itself the largest international school community in the Czech Republic, on three working campuses, with a fourth — Prokop, Řeporyje, Prague 13 — advertised for 2027. The homepage still says “three campuses.” Ask which site this year group will use.
It is co-ed. The FAQ is blunt: no accommodation, no boarding. If the posting has not found a flat, this school will not absorb the child.

The useful questions are local. Which campus, and what happens at 11 or 14? Can this child work in English by Year 10, when the FAQ says upper secondary must be English-proficient? English primary or Czech bilingual Česko Britská Základní Škola? And do you understand that the Middle Years Programme is still a candidate, not an authorised IB World School programme?
Open enrolment, ages 2–19, applications all year, mid-year starts. The brochure sentence is that almost anyone can join if a seat exists. The practical sentence is a complete file, a paid application fee, and — from Year 7 — an assessment.
It is for mobile families who want English from Pre-Nursery through the IB Diploma, a Nord Anglia network if the next city is another campus, and for Czech families who want either the English primary or ČBZŠ. The homepage says more than 60 countries. Teachers, the FAQ says, hold UK qualified teacher status or equivalent; most from the UK, others from Canada, the USA, Australia and New Zealand.

There is a scholarship, not a hardship fund. One Year 10 place from September 2026, four years through IGCSE and the IB Diploma, 90% of fees, with the Prague 12 Metropolitan District Council. The published 2026 cycle closed on 16 January 2026. Czech or EU citizenship, three years in Prague 12 for child and guardian, strong English; current pupils and anyone who left within three years cannot apply. The fees page also names a Prague 6 District Council programme. We only have full rules for Prague 12. Ask which cycle is open this year before you count on either.
Three addresses now. A fourth on a drawing. Shared language across the campus pages: auditorium or dance studio, black box, music rooms, sports courts, STEAM and language labs, Forest School on the younger sites.
Kamýk, K Lesu 558/2, 142 00 Praha 4 — largest site: Early Years, Primary, Lower Secondary, ages 2–14 (Years 7–9). South-east, forest edge, about 25 minutes from the centre by car. The Kamýk page adds all-weather pitches, an athletics track, adventure playgrounds and three multimedia suites.
Libuš, Brunelova 960/12, 142 00 Praha 4 — Years 10–13, ages 14–18, IGCSE then IB. A five-minute drive or 10-minute walk from Kamýk. The page adds a grass football pitch, a fitness zone and a dance studio. The IB page names a Libuš Hub.
Vlastina, Vlastina 19, 161 00 Praha 6 — west-side Early Years and Primary, Liboc, about 15 minutes from the centre. The overview says ages 3–11; the Vlastina page says 4–11. Ask which birthday sits in which building this year.
Prokop, Řeporyje, 155 00 Praha 13 — “coming soon,” Early Years and Primary, ages 3–14, 2027. When we looked, a Prokop Open Day was advertised for 17 September at 11:00, starting at Vlastina. Treat that as a live notice, not a finished building.
Ask to see an ordinary classroom on the campus this child will use. A four-year-old in Prague 6 and a fifteen-year-old in Libuš do not share a drop-off.
The FAQ’s curriculum list is the cleanest map.
Early Years, ages 2–5 — EYFS. Pre-Nursery (2–3), Nursery (3–4), Reception (4–5). Reception if the child turns four before 1 September; a later birthday stays in Nursery another year. Pre-Nursery and Nursery: 08:05–15:00, optional Happy Hour to 16:00. Forest School, specialist PE, music and library are named. Kindergarten transport, that page says, needs an individual conversation.
Primary, ages 5–11. English National Curriculum plus the International Primary Curriculum: English, mastery mathematics, and a thematic Creative Curriculum (science, history, geography, art, design technology). Breakfast club 7:30–8:15. Uniforms are required; admissions emails the shop after enrolment.
Czech British Primary — ČBZŠ — ages 5–11. For Czech nationals: Czech National Curriculum plus IPC, bilingual teachers, English every day through EAL. The FAQ says everyone on this track is Czech, and that Czech families can also choose the English primary. Start is Year 1, which the school calls a Czech preparatory-class equivalent. An after-school Czech club exists for non-Czech children. ČBZŠ has its own, lower, fee table and a separate company number in the footer.
Years 7–9, ages 11–14, at Kamýk — IB Middle Years Programme. Read the asterisk. The lower-secondary page says PBIS is a Candidate School for the MYP. Candidate status is not a guarantee. The eight groups named: Language and Literature, Language Acquisition, Individuals and Societies, Integrated Sciences, Mathematics, Physical Health and Education, Design, and Arts. Enrichment is part of Key Stage 3.
Years 10–11, ages 14–16, at Libuš — Cambridge IGCSE. Year 12 needs passed IGCSE or equivalent.
Years 12–13, ages 16–19 — IB Diploma. Six groups, three higher and three standard, plus TOK, the Extended Essay and CAS. Pass bar the upper-secondary page restates: 24 points, 12 at higher, 9 at standard, up to three more from the core.
Instruction on the British–international track is in English. Czech is a host-country language and, on ČBZŠ, a language of instruction.
EAL is included in tuition — fees page, FAQ, primary FAQ. Every child sits an English entrance test. Age-level English goes into mainstream. Others get individual, small-group or in-class support, a plan each term, and a written report three times a year. The full programme normally lasts up to one year (maths, science, art, music, PE, ICT, drama, history, geography; tests in December, March and June). Partial support covers the four skills, study skills, homework and exams.
The FAQ’s gate: upper secondary must be English-proficient. Year 10 is not the year to hope immersion will catch up.
French, German and Spanish are the Key Stage 3 offer once English is confident. We did not find a published mother-tongue catalogue beyond Czech A on the IB results page.
The FAQ publishes three figures, which is more useful than “small classes.”
ČBZŠ says “small class sizes” without a number. Ask for the actual Year 3 and Year 10 on the day you visit.
Open enrolment, year-round. Reply promised within 24 hours, excluding weekends, once the form and documents are in. The FAQ adds a trial day, interview, and entry tests if needed, then a contract.
From Year 7: language assessment for non-native English speakers, maths and literature for native speakers. Year 12 needs passed IGCSE or equivalent. Placement follows UK age — five before the year starts is Year 1 — unless another system’s reports suggest otherwise. There is a Year Group Chart PDF on the entry-requirements page.
Upload, from that page: child’s passport and photo; parent passport; latest reports in English; immunisation record; health-insurance card.
August joiners get a Welcome Afternoon in the last week of the summer holidays and a parent portal (Firefly, Seesaw, Tapestry). There is no published waitlist. Call and ask whether this year group has a seat.

Pay annually by 1 June 2026 and the printed annual figure includes a 4% discount, but only if the invoice is paid in full by the due date. Mid-year joiners get that annual discount only from the next full year. Or pay termly: 1 June 2026, 1 December 2026, 1 March 2027. Sibling discount, for those paying annually: 5% on the second child, 10% on the third and later, calculated on full termly fees.

Tuition, the terms block says, covers teaching, additional English, and learning support for those who need it, plus the Nord Anglia collaborations (Juilliard, MIT, UNICEF) and many extra-curriculars, including Duke of Edinburgh. It does not cover lunches, transport, residential trips, exam fees, Extra Time service, or uniforms. We are not inventing a lunch or uniform price. The school did not print one.
A first-year Year 7, paid annually by a family with one child, is not “about 693,000.” It is application + annual tuition — 708,120 CZK — before the bus, lunches, a ski week, or Extra Time. Pay termly and the three Year 7 invoices add to 722,000 before the same extras.
Home-school-home on all three current campuses: typically 16 lines, five minibuses plus local providers, demand-dependent, non-profit, 84,000 CZK on the fee table, from age 4. Email transport@pbis.cz.

The portable route is the IB Diploma. The 12 August 2026 note for the Class of 2026 prints a 97% pass (it cites global 82.6%), average 34 (global 30.9), 24% at 37 or above, 42% at 35 or above, subject grade 5.3 across 25 subjects (global 4.9). 83% of Czech students who took English A and Czech A received the Bilingual Diploma and scored 5+ in both. IB coordinator Mark Buckley is the name on that note. Destinations the school chose to print include Harvard, a Columbia–Trinity dual degree, King’s College London, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Charles University, VŠE and UNYP. That is one cohort talking about itself. It is not your child’s forecast.
IGCSE sits underneath. The lower-secondary page links a 2025 results PDF. We are not reconstructing it.
We did not find a published Czech maturita-equivalence pathway. ČBZŠ is primary. Secondary leavers are on IGCSE and the IB. If you might later need a document that looks like maturita, ask the IB office with this child’s subjects.
Learning support and EAL are inside tuition. Extra Time is named as an extra and is not priced. The school does not describe itself as a specialist SEN school. Bring current reports.
Ask which campus this child sits on in Years 6, 9 and 10, and whether Prokop will have opened. Ask whether MYP authorisation has moved. Ask how many EAL hours a January Year 8 actually gets, and whether Year 10 is still possible if English is not yet academic. Ask ČBZŠ versus English primary. Ask what Extra Time costs, whether a Prague 12 or Prague 6 scholarship is open this cycle, and what happens if the posting ends in March — we did not find a published early-departure refund rule, so get it in writing.
We are not ranking PBIS. We are not guessing a waitlist. We are not inventing a lunch, uniform or 2027/28 fee. Homepage happiness lines — 96% say the child is happy; 95% (homepage) or 90% (fees page) say a good relationship with teachers — are the school’s figures, not a census we counted.
Read the live fees page before you resign a flat. This is a map. The school still has to be the right Tuesday.
