The International School of Düsseldorf is a co-educational day school at Niederrheinstrasse 336, 40489 Düsseldorf. Official site isdedu.de. The home page calls it a K–12 IB house “in the heart of Düsseldorf.”
It is not International School of Hamburg in Groß Flottbek, and not BBIS in Kleinmachnow. Düsseldorf is its own Rhine Tuesday. Time that road.
The useful questions are: Is this child buying the IB Diploma, individual IB certificates, or the school’s own ISD high school diploma? And have you added the one-time admission fee — €6,500 — because it sits beside the first year?
Families who want an English IB week in Düsseldorf, funded almost entirely by tuition, the fees page says, paid by parents and/or employers.
PYP in elementary. MYP in Grades 6–10. Diploma in 11–12. The senior-school page also names individual IB certificates and an ISD high school diploma. We will not invent which path this child is offered this year.

New students are accepted throughout the year. Start with a registration of interest, then a tour. We will not invent a cutoff score.
It will not suit a family hunting a municipal Gymnasium that charges nothing at the door, or a Hamburg campus they have not timed. Walk those if that is the climate.
Niederrheinstrasse 336. A virtual open house exists if you cannot stand on the asphalt yet. It is a day school. There is no boarding house.
Registration of interest, then the admissions forms the apply page names: admission and membership, school agreement, language, academic, health. Write the team. We will not invent a waitlist.
Tuition, the page says, covers course books and materials, the elementary one-to-one iPad programme, school field trips, IB programme costs, regular IB examination fees, learning support, EAL support, and Grade 12 graduation. ISD reserves the right to change what is covered each year.

Optional costs the same page names. After-school activities: costs vary. Cub Club after-school care until 18:00 — the last public line on that page is still labelled 2024–25, €15 a day; confirm the live year. Cafeteria lunches, also labelled 2024–25: €4.17 Reception–Grade 2; €5.56 Grades 3–5; €5.95 Grades 6–12. Arts-festival trips, mother-tongue tutors and private music lessons vary.
We will not invent a 2026 Cub Club or lunch euro the page still dates 2024–25.
We are not ranking ISD against Hamburg or Berlin. We are not calling “flagship” a medal. We are not inventing a scholarship figure the fees page does not quote in euros. We are not treating “over 57 countries” as a census we counted.
Ask whether Year 12 is the full Diploma, certificates, or the ISD diploma. Add the €6,500 before you compare the annual line to another Rhine IB. Time Niederrheinstrasse on a wet Tuesday.
