Düsseldorf · time the Rhine

Düsseldorf schools, an IB Rhine Tuesday that is not Hamburg

Düsseldorf is not a suburb of Hamburg. ISD is an English IB campus on Niederrheinstrasse. The 2026–27 page prints euros. Ask which paper the child will hold, then time that road.

Düsseldorf is not “the other Hamburg international.” It is a Rhine city with its own commute, its own Gymnasien, and one English IB campus posting families name when the life is not Groß Flottbek.

The portrait we have is the International School of Düsseldorf on Niederrheinstrasse. Use it for the 2026–27 euro table, including the one-time admission fee. Cub Club and cafeteria lines on that page are still labelled 2024–25; confirm the live year. This note is the city around it. The Germany country page is the wider map — Hamburg, Bonn, Frankfurt.

One English IB climate, a German city

ISD sits at Niederrheinstrasse 336. PYP, MYP, Diploma, and the school’s own high-school diploma. English in the classroom. Add the €6,500 admission fee before you compare the annual line to another Rhine house. It is a day school. Time that road in January, not a June open morning.

It is not International School of Hamburg and not BBIS in Kleinmachnow.

Bonn International School is another official IB campus, a diplomatic town down the Rhine. We name it. We will not invent its sheet.

The German city is the other school

If you might stay, an English IB is not automatically the kindest paper. A Gymnasium that charges nothing at the door, a church house, a bilingual state school — those are official mornings. Families looking at ISD often also walk a neighbourhood Gymnasium in the same week, because the next five years may still be German.

The language of the yard is the test that matters more than the flags.

Hamburg and Frankfurt are not suburbs of Düsseldorf. Do not make the Rhine into one S-Bahn.

What to ask on the stairs

Ask whether Year 12 is the full Diploma, certificates, or the ISD diploma. Ask what the admission fee still is this year. Time Niederrheinstrasse on a wet Tuesday. Stay for the yard.

The city hub is the short map. The ISD portrait is the long one. The Berlin field note and the Hamburg hub are other German Tuesdays.

Friendly orientation, not formal admissions advice. Always confirm dates with the school.
