The British School in the Netherlands is a co-educational day school on four campuses in and around The Hague. Official site britishschool.nl. The home page says since 1931, ages 3–18, a community of nearly 90 nationalities, British and international curriculum.
It is not the American School of The Hague in Wassenaar, and not the International School of The Hague in Kijkduin. Four gates. One fee table. Time Voorschoten and Leidschenveen on the same wet Tuesday.
The useful questions are: Which gate will this child stand in? Is the leaving paper A Level, BTEC, or IB? And have you added the capital fee from Year 1 — €2,200 junior, €2,800 senior — because it sits beside the annual line?
Families who want an English British week around The Hague, with GCSE then a choice of A Level, BTEC or IB, and who can live with four addresses rather than one château.
Junior schools: Vlaskamp and Leidschenveen, ages 3–11. Senior schools: Leidschenveen and Voorschoten, 11–18. The campus page says both seniors offer IB programmes and A-Levels. We will not invent which Sixth Form groups run this year on which site.
It will not suit a family hunting a subsidised Dutch International School, a Wassenaar American diploma, or a municipal basisschool that charges nothing at the door. Walk those if that is the climate.

It is a day school. There is no boarding house. A bus exists; the transport page has its own 2026–27 table.
The admissions journey page charges a non-refundable €250 per application, waived if a sibling is already at the BSN. Write admissions@britishschool.nl. We will not invent a CAT4 cutoff or a waitlist.

Annual fees, the page says, include compulsory day trips and residentials (KS2–5) and curricular GCSE, A Level, BTEC, IB and CNaVT exam entries. Returning families are invoiced annually, due in August. New September starters are invoiced in the first month.

The school says it is not able to offer fee discounts. A staged-payment exception exists if the family carries the whole bill without an employer.
The public notice-of-leaving table on that page is still labelled 2025–26. Confirm the live 2026–27 dates before you budget a mid-year exit.
We are not ranking the BSN against ISH or ASH. We are not calling four campuses one commute. We are not inventing 2026–27 leaving dates. We are not treating “nearly 90 nationalities” as a census we counted.
Ask which of the four gates this child would stand in. Ask whether Year 12 is A Level, BTEC, or IB on that senior site. Add the capital fee before you compare the annual line to Kijkduin.

The Hague is not one international campus. It is a subsidised IB in Kijkduin, an American day campus in Wassenaar, a British school on four gates, an Accredited European School, and a French AEFE lycée on Scheveningseweg. Ask who pays, then time the roads.
