The Hague is not one international campus. It is a subsidised IB in Kijkduin, an American day campus in Wassenaar, a British school on four gates, an Accredited European School, and a French AEFE lycée on Scheveningseweg. Ask who pays, then time the roads.
The Hague is not “the international school.” It is a diplomatic city whose Dutch basisscholen are allowed to be first, plus five official doors posting families name in the first week.
The portraits we have are the International School of The Hague on Wijndaelerweg, the American School of The Hague on Rijksstraatweg, the British School in the Netherlands on four campuses, European School The Hague on Houtrustweg and Oostduinlaan, and Lycée français Vincent van Gogh on Scheveningseweg. Use them for euro tables. ISH prints 2025–26 and 2026–27 because the Ministry already pays part. ASH prints 2026–27 bands. The BSN prints a full 2026–27 page, including the capital fee from Year 1. ESH prints 2026–27 for Category I and Category III. The lycée prints 2026–27 for both cities. This note is the city between them. ISH sits in Kijkduin. A Dutch International School. Admission is a legal test as well as an academic one. PYP candidate in Primary, then MYP, DP or CP. Fees sit lower than most Hague internationals because the state already contributes. Read the three eligibility sentences before you fall in love with the Silverbacks.
ASH sits in Wassenaar, not in the International Zone. Two addresses — Early Childhood on Deijlerweg. American diploma, IB and AP. Dutch in elementary. Time Wassenaar. It is not a tram from Kijkduin.
The BSN sits on four campuses — Vlaskamp, two halls on Vrouw Avenweg, and Voorschoten. British, then GCSE, then A Level, BTEC or IB. Add the capital fee from Year 1. Time Voorschoten. It is not Wassenaar.
ESH sits on two campuses in the International Zone — Houtrustweg and the Aloysius building on Oostduinlaan. Accredited European School. Category I has a reserved place. Category III has eligibility sentences. The leaving paper is the European Baccalaureate, not IB. Time both gates. They are not Kijkduin.
LvvG sits on Scheveningseweg 237, Statenkwartier, with a second primary site in Amsterdam. AEFE gestion directe. The leaving paper is the Bac. Add the first-registration fee. Time Scheveningseweg. It is not Houtrustweg.
They share a posting town and almost no Monday. Walk at least two, then a neighbourhood basisschool on the city’s own map.
If you might stay, an English IB or an American diploma is not automatically the kindest paper. A bijzondere school that charges nothing at the door, a gymnasium — those are official mornings. Article 23 is why you can stand at a gate for a long time before anyone says “private.”
The language of the yard is the test.
Amsterdam is a second climate, not a suburb. Maastricht is Limburg.
Ask whether this family meets ISH’s eligibility sentences. Ask ASH what the Grade 9–12 band comes to this year. Ask the BSN which of the four gates this child stands in. Ask ESH whether this child is Category I or Category III. Ask the lycée which city this child will stand in. Time Kijkduin, Wassenaar, Voorschoten, Houtrustweg and Scheveningseweg on the same wet Tuesday.
