Choosing an international school in Seville: IB or French curriculum

Seville's two featured international routes serve different plans. Yago offers the full IB sequence in English, alongside Spanish education and boarding from MYP 4. The Lycée Français follows the French curriculum in a trilingual setting and leads to the French Baccalauréat.

Seville’s shortlist should begin with curriculum and teaching language. Yago School Sevilla is in Castilleja de la Cuesta, west of the city. The Lycée Français International de Séville is on Isla de la Cartuja.

Yago offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years, Middle Years and Diploma programmes. The Lycée follows the French national curriculum through the French Baccalauréat. Those qualifications are different enough that the likely next country or university system should influence the choice.

Yago: an English-main IB route with boarding

Yago covers nursery through age 18. English is the principal teaching language, with Spanish and a choice of French or Mandarin also integrated into the programme. The school presents the IB sequence alongside Spanish educational requirements.

Choose Yago when a family wants the IB from an early stage, needs an English-main curriculum, or requires boarding for an older pupil. Boarding begins at MYP 4, which corresponds to the later secondary years rather than primary school.

The 2026–27 tuition table is detailed but not a single all-inclusive price. Tuition can be paid in ten monthly instalments or three termly payments. Published monthly tuition ranges from €363 for Nursery I0–I1 to €830 in DP 1. DP 2 costs €922 per month for nine months.

For senior pupils, dining is compulsory at €203 per month. Diploma pupils also pay an IB supplement of €100 per month in DP 1 or €112 per month for nine months in DP 2. Digital subscriptions, materials, books and uniforms may add further costs.

Annual boarding costs €37,200 for MYP 4–5 and €40,300 for DP 1–2. The school says this includes accommodation, meals, supplies, a digital device, three cultural trips, counselling and guardianship. Initial boarding charges include a €1,660 non-refundable enrolment fee and a €2,080 refundable deposit.

The early-payment discounts shown for 2026–27 required full payment by 21 June, 21 July or 21 August 2026. All three windows have passed.

The Lycée Français: French continuity on Cartuja

The Lycée runs from the early years through Terminale. It is part of the French overseas-education network and teaches in French, Spanish and English. The central qualification is the French Baccalauréat. The school also describes preparation for Spanish university-access requirements; do not confuse that preparation with a second school-leaving diploma.

Choose the Lycée when continuity with the French system matters, especially if another move to France or another French-network school is plausible. A child who does not yet speak French may receive support, but the family should ask how much support is available in the proposed year and how quickly the curriculum expects independent French.

Admissions for 2026–27 are advertised as open. Some older application pages remain labelled 2022–23 or 2018–19, so use the current admissions contact rather than treating those headings as the active calendar.

There is now a public fee sheet, but the latest one found is explicitly for 2025–26, not 2026–27. It lists ten monthly tuition payments of €709 in maternelle, €714 in élémentaire, and €749 in collège and lycée. It also lists a €1,200 first-enrolment fee, a €400 re-enrolment charge, optional lunch and transport. Ask for the 2026–27 schedule in writing before accepting a place.

The location decision is substantial

Yago’s senior campus is on Avenida Antonio Mairena in Castilleja de la Cuesta. Its nursery is at a separate Castilleja address. The Lycée is on Avenida Carlos III on Isla de la Cartuja. These are not interchangeable school runs.

Check the journey from real housing options at arrival and dismissal time. If two children would use different Yago campuses, test both routes. If public transport or the school bus is essential, confirm the stop, seat and current charge rather than relying on a general route map.
