Nobel Algarve’s Lagoa campus suits families living in the central Algarve who want either the English national curriculum leading to A-levels or a Portuguese national programme. The two sections share a campus, but their curricula and fees should be considered separately.
Lagoa is not interchangeable with Nobel’s Almancil campus. The school’s admissions information lists A-levels for Lagoa, while Almancil offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma and a BTEC Diploma in Sport, a vocational qualification. Choose the campus by programme as well as journey time.
Programmes and location
Lagoa was established in 1972 and serves pupils aged 3–18. It is co-educational and operates as a day school. Its international section follows the National Curriculum of England, with A-levels as the final subject-based qualifications. The national section follows the Portuguese Ministry of Education programme.
The school describes Lagoa as its flagship campus and reports expansion buildings opened in 2025. On a visit, ask to see the section and classrooms the child would actually use.
The campus is at Barros Brancos on the EN125. The application page gives 8401-901 Lagoa; the contact page gives EN125, Porches 8400-400 Lagoa. Request a map pin and visitor entrance from the school rather than choosing between those postcodes. Contact +351 282 342 547 or info@nobelalgarve.com.
Admissions and required documents
Both Nobel Algarve campuses accept applications throughout the year, subject to availability. The published process is to request information, arrange a visit, apply when availability is confirmed and complete enrolment with the required documents. A full year group may result in a waiting-list place rather than an offer.
The document list includes:
- the child’s identity document, medical information and vaccination record;
- parents’ identity documents or passports;
- both parents’ tax identification numbers;
- a Portuguese residence permit for foreign applicants;
- proof of address.

These are not national-section prices. The research used for this profile did not establish a public 2026/27 national-section tariff; request it directly if considering Portuguese schooling.
Registration is €500, paid once on acceptance. Annual enrolment is €340 and includes insurance. Keep both separate from tuition.
Payment and discounts
The termly payment dates are 11 August 2026, 11 December 2026 and 11 March 2027. These are payment dates, not school-term start dates.
The alternative monthly plan has ten instalments from 1 July 2026 to 1 April 2027. It requires direct debit and an additional €50 annual charge. If joining after the first scheduled payment, request the applicable payment arrangement.
The sibling discount is 3% for the second child and 20% for the third and subsequent children, applied to the younger children. Discounts cannot be combined.
The 4% early-renewal discount required payment by 31 March 2026. That deadline has passed and should not be included in a new September budget.
Meals, support and withdrawal
Annual lunch costs €1,560 for pre-school and is compulsory there. For Years 2–13, the listed lunch charge is €1,680.
Special educational needs (SEN) support or English as an Additional Language (EAL) costs €35 per 30-minute session. Psychology sessions cost €40 for 45 minutes. Ask which sessions are proposed and their frequency before estimating a support budget.
Withdrawal requires 90 calendar days’ notice. Obtain the applicable contract and the separate prices for transport, uniform and external examinations; those amounts are not established in this profile.
Our view
Choose Lagoa if its A-level or Portuguese programme meets the child’s plans and the central-Algarve location works for daily life. If the IB Diploma is essential, compare Nobel Almancil instead; it is a different programme at a different campus.
