The Lycée français Vincent van Gogh is a co-educational day AEFE school — gestion directe — on two sites. Official site lfvvg.com. The programmes follow the French ministry’s official hours and syllabuses.
The Hague — Scheveningseweg 237, 2584 AA Den Haag. Switchboard +31 70 306 69 20. Collège and lycée sit here, with a primary school on the same campus. The collège-lycée page says the building opened in 1994, in the Statenkwartier not far from Scheveningen, and holds nearly 900 pupils from PS to Terminale, of whom a little under 500 are in collège and lycée. Senior entrance: Scheveningseweg 237.
Amsterdam — Rustenburgerstraat 246, 1073 GK Amsterdam. +31 20 644 65 07. Maternelle and élémentaire only.
It is not the International School of The Hague, not the British School in the Netherlands, and not European School The Hague. The leaving paper is the Bac, not IB.
The useful questions are: Which city will this child actually stand in? And have you added the première inscription — €500 — because it sits beside the first year?
Who it is for
Families who need a French week that travels with the AEFE, and who can live with two addresses.
Optional extras the fees page names: Section Internationale (SIA/BFI), and a section européenne in lycée. We will not invent which group has a chair this year.
It will not suit a family hunting an English IB only, or a municipal basisschool that already knows the street. Walk those if that is the climate.
The campus you can actually picture
Scheveningseweg for the long French ladder. Rustenburgerstraat for the Amsterdam primary years. Time both if the posting might move between the two cities. It is a day school. There is no boarding house.
How a child actually gets in
The inscriptions page organises 2026–27 in five campaigns between 5 January and 30 June 2026, plus a complementary campaign from 17 August 2026. Open the live calendar. The €500 first-registration fee is due on admission; unpaid, the page says, the decision is cancelled. Write the relevant director — dirlahaye@lyceevangogh.nl or diramsterdam@lyceevangogh.nl. We will not invent a test cutoff.
Money, as the 2026–2027 frais page prints it
First registration €500. Re-enrolment advance €300.
Annual tuition
| Path |
2026–2027 |
| Amsterdam, PS–CM2 |
€8,501 |
| The Hague, PS–CM2 |
€8,643 |
| The Hague, 6e–3e |
€11,968 |
| The Hague, 2nde–Terminale |
€12,436 |
Optional sections, on top of tuition: SIA/BFI €250 (CE2–CM2) or €1,000 (6e–Terminale); European section €400 (2nde–Terminale).
Books and exams: textbooks €50 from CP; DNB €100; première anticipated papers €100; Terminale €200. Independent-candidate exam lines sit on the same page.
The 2025–26 table is still printed below. Do not mix the years.
What we are not claiming
We are not ranking the lycée against ISH or ESH. We are not calling two cities one commute. We are not inventing a bourse euro. We are not treating “nearly 900” as a census we counted.
Stairs questions
Ask which gate this child stands in — Scheveningseweg or Rustenburgerstraat. Ask whether you are buying the Bac, and whether an optional section is actually on offer. Time both cities if the posting might move.
The The Hague hub and the Amsterdam hub are the short maps. The Netherlands country page is the wider one.
